Boulder Valley Ear, Nose & Throat Associates, has a long history of providing the highest standard of care and building trusted relationships. Serving Boulder County and the greater Colorado community for over 50 years.
We are proud to be the largest privately owned Ear, Nose & Throat practice in the region. Our practice is now comprised of four board certified head and neck surgeons, four Physician’s Assistants, a dedicated team of Audiologists led by four Doctors of Audiology (AuD), a full scale allergy department for testing and treatments, and an unparalleled aesthetic practice led by our board certified Facial Plastic Surgeon.

J. Douglas Warren M.D., FACS
Dr. Warren is a board certified Otolaryngologist and fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He received his doctorate of medicine from the University of Missouri, Columbia in 1984. He went on to complete his residency in 1990 from Washington University/Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. He joined the staff of Boulder Valley Ear, Nose, and Throat in 1990 and served as chief of medical staff at Avista from 1992-1993. In addition, he served as chief of surgery at Boulder Community Hospital from 1998-2002. His special interests include head and neck surgery, treatment of head and neck cancer, and general otolaryngology.
David D. Morrissey M.D.
Dr. Morrissey is a board certified Otolaryngologist. He received his doctorate of medicine from the University of Colorado, Denver in 1994. He went on to complete his residency in 1999 from the Oregon Health Science University in Portland. He joined the staff of Boulder Valley Ear, Nose, and Throat in 2000. He has been a member of the Cancer Committee, Medical Executive Committee, and served as Chief of Surgery at Boulder Community Hospital from 2004 -2006, and Avista Hospital from 2007-2010. He currently serves as president of the Foothills Surgery Center in Boulder. Dr. Morrissey treats both adult and pediatric patients.
Andrew C. Goldman M.D.
Dr. Andrew Goldman is double board certified in head and neck surgery, as well as in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Goldman graduated with honors from Rush University in Chicago with his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1996. Dr. Goldman completed his head and neck surgery residency training in Brooklyn, New York at SUNY-Downstate in 2001, and then trained as a fellow in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the prestigious University Hospital in Bern, Switzerland 2001-2002. He then returned to Brooklyn and served as assistant professor in Facial Plastic Surgery until he moved to Boulder and joined Boulder Valley Ear, Nose & Throat Associates in 2004.
Dr. Goldman has pioneered office based cosmetic surgical techniques, and performs many of his cosmetic face and neck procedures in the office without the need for deep sedation or anesthesia in the operating room. In addition to performing cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures for the face and neck, Dr. Goldman also is the founder and medical director of Boulder Valley Laser and Cosmetic.
Donald A. Maschka M.D., FAAOA
Dr. Maschka is a board certified Otolaryngologist and has completed a fellowship in the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He received his doctorate of medicine from the University of Iowa in 1992 and completed his residency in 1997 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. After residency he practiced in Iowa for 17 years and enjoyed a high-paced and varied otolaryngology practice.
During this time he trained ENT residents as an Associate Professor for the University of Iowa and has also provided services for the Mayo Clinic Health System in Minnesota. In 2006 Dr. Maschka founded a successful allergy practice utilizing innovative allergy techniques. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors at multiple hospital, clinic, and surgery center boards.
Lauren Cantor, PA-C
Lauren is a certified Physician Assistant practicing in otolaryngology. She was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. She obtained both her bachelor’s degree followed by her master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from Indiana University.
Kirstin Latimer, PA-C
Kirstin graduated PA school in 2020 from Southern Illinois University. She is originally from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago but moved to Indianapolis 3 years ago. Kirstin has 3.5 years of experience in the urgent care setting as a PA. In her free time, she loves to read, hike, snowboard, and spend time with her husband and dog.
Josh Gumpert, PA-C
Josh is a certified Physician Assistant practicing in otolaryngology. He was raised on the Western Slope of Colorado in Fruita/Grand Junction. He received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from CU Boulder. After working in a local Pathology lab, Josh entered the US Navy and went on to receive a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies through the Interservice Physician Assistant Program. He worked in primary care while in the Navy and deployed once with a US Marine Corps battalion. He honorably separated from the US Navy after 11 years of service and returned home to Colorado where he joined the Boulder Valley Ear, Nose and Throat team. Outside of work Josh enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his wife, two boys, and dogs.
Caitlyn Berango, PA-C
Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Obtained both bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from Indiana State University. Prior to joining the Boulder Valley Ear, Nose, and Throat team, Caitlyn worked in otolaryngology in St. Louis for 2 years.
In her free time Caitlyn enjoys running, biking, time with her husband and dogs!
Kacie Albertsen, DNP, APRN, AGACNP-BC
Kacie Albertsen is a board-certified nurse practitioner practicing in otolaryngology. She was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kentucky and practiced as an ER/trauma nurse for 7.5 years at a level one trauma center in Louisville, Kentucky. Kacie earned a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from her alma mater in 2023 and practiced as a nurse practitioner in head and neck surgery prior to joining the Boulder Valley Ear, Nose, and Throat team. Outside of work, Kacie enjoys running marathons, needle point, decorating, and spending time with her husband and two dogs.
Melissa Williams, Au.D., CCC-A
Dr. Melissa Williams graduated from the University of Colorado with her Doctorate of Audiology. Before that, she attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a minor in Leadership Studies. Melissa is a licensed Audiologist in the State of Colorado, a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, and maintains her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology.
Julia Gajewski, Au.D., CCC-A
Dr. Julia Gajewski attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Doctorate of Audiology (AuD). Julia is a licensed Audiologist in the State of Colorado and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association. Prior to joining Boulder Valley Hearing Associates, Julia was working as an audiologist in Arizona where she had the opportunity to work with a local non-profit organization who provided donated hearing aids to those in need.
Alexis Dalager, Au.D.
Dr. Alexis Dalager graduated from University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences before continuing on to University of the Pacific in San Francisco, California to earn her Doctorate degree in Audiology. Alexis is a licensed Audiologist in the State of Colorado and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence by the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
Oleander “Olly” Green
Dr. Oleander “Olly” Green attended Arizona State University where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Doctorate of Audiology. Olly is a licensed audiologist in Colorado and joined the Boulder Valley Hearing team in June 2024. Olly believes in using patient-centered, evidence-based care to help people with hearing loss reconnect with the world and people around them. Outside of work, Olly enjoys many hobbies including snowboarding, hiking, video games, and crochet.
Jill True B.S., H.I.S. ,Hearing Instrument Specialist
Jill graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Services. She has been working in the Northern Colorado area for seven years as a Hearing Instrument Specialist, and in the medical field for the last 20 years.
